Karavan Jersey and Butterick B4789

I bought a few yards of Free Spirit's Karavan jersey from Fabric.com.  I am in love with it.  It sews up like a dream.  Butterick B4789 is a twist knot dress that is OOP, but available on some websites.  Reviewers on PatternReview.com stated that there is a lot of fabric in the knot and I agree. The abundance of fabric in the knot was not so bad since this is a great jersey fabric to sew.  I love the dress that I made from it and it took just a few hours to complete the whole thing.

I am glad for simple dresses that I can complete quickly.  My new summer project has become redoing our wood floors after twelve inches of rain fell in 6 hours a few weeks ago.  We got about 1/2" of water that covered about a 3 foot by 25 foot section in my kitchen.  I am looking at two weeks of construction with my sewing room being part of the project.  I'll keep you posted on my progress.
